Wrangling the lifelong passion of a toy collector.
Too much work, not enough space. A curator/collector who needs to show EVERYTHING. Every designer experiences this problem and a good designer embraces it and provides solutions. Months of virtual meetings lead to a design reflective of a toy-filled home but elevated to space any lay person could enjoy. Paint was used to create thematic “rooms”; metallic silver sci-fi, patriotic hero stripes and hand-stenciled Godzilla scales. Toys are fun, embrace it. Custom cases installed in “collector” groupings, black lights and wall-to-wall vinyl comic book murals. Yeah, pretty fun.
